Northwest's Liebherr LR 1400/2-W Narrow Track has completed the erection of the 66 proposed General Electric Wind Turbines at the Blue Canyon Wind Farm near Lawton, OK. Team members Josh Fast, Cory Stephens, Joseph Parsons, Charlie Coffey, and Greg White all worked hard to complete the erection of the 66 turbines. The Blue Canyon Wind Farm sets on a ridge line which made the LR 1400/2-W Narrow track machine ideal for road construction and onsite travel from turbine to turbine. Without the narrow track width of 15ft 9in the roads between turbine pods would have to be blasted at close to twice the width. The Crane is configured with 437,000lbs of counterweight, 247ft of main boom and 57ft of 20 degree off set wind jib.
