Northwest Crane Service team members completed a water tower construction project in Choctaw, Oklahoma. They utilized Northwest Crane Services’s Liebherr LTM 1220 mobile hydraulic crane. Each tower section had to be held in place with the crane while welders worked to secure them to the tower, the crew worked with a max tip height of 197 ft. With the cooperation of the City of Choctaw and Northwest Crane Service’s in-house safety engineers, a plan was formulated which maximized the safety of pedestrians and decreased the amount of time the road closure affected local traffic.
“I want to thank Chris and Northwest Crane Service for the quick response of the safety pin issue.
