Northwest Crane at Con Expo Las Vegas

Northwest Crane Service L.L.C. took delivery of the first newly designed LR1600/2 at the Con Expo equipment show in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 11, 2008. Northwest Crane team members (pictured from left) Curt Shepherd, Andy Hodges, Joseph Parsons, Andy Zirtzman, Chris Reed, Josh Fast, Jimmy McClung, and Kevin Harris were at the show in Las Vegas to see the crane on display at the Liebherr equipment booth.

Liebherr LR1600/2 Crawler Crane

The Liebherr LR1600/2 is the first machine of its design world wide available from Northwest Crane Service, L.L.C May 2008. The LR1600/2 is a totally new design from Liebherr equpited with the SF2 boom configuration for the erection of wind turbines. Unique design requires no luffing jib attachment , no derrick, and no super lift attachments for boom tip heights up to 120 meters. Reduced time, effort, and expense associated with rigging and de-rigging the crawler crane without complicated attachments.

Tip Heights and Capacities

Fitted with 84 meters (275.5 feet) of straight boom and 12 meters (39.4 feet)of fixed jib, the LR1600/2's lifting capacity at a hook height of    96 meters (315 feet) is 137 metric tons (301,950lbs.)

Fitted with 99 meters (0324.7 feet) of straight boom and 12 meters (39.4 feet) of fixed jib, the LR1600/2's lifting capacity at a hook height of 108 meters (360 feet)is 118 metric tons (206,072lbs.).
